Improved cycle paths in Alice Park feature roundabouts, zebra crossings and park and ride intersections to help develop cycling skills.
As part of the upgrade, organised by the Alice Park Trust, Bath and North East Somerset Council and VolkerHighways, the park has also seen the installation of new benches and signage.
Jackie Wilson, head of Alice Park Nursery, said the children were delighted to use the new cycle path and particularly liked the new signage.
The council and highway and street lighting specialist VolkerHighways held an educational session for children at the nursery and councillors from the Alice Park Trust sub-committee.
”We had a lot of fun learning what each sign meant and it was a great way to teach the children about road safety,” Ms Wilson said.
Councillor Manda Rigby, cabinet member for highways, said: “The Alice Park cycle path is a valuable and well-used community resource and it’s great to see it being improved.”
